SUSTAINABILITY

The purpose of the KCIC Sustainability Awards Program is to recognize and promote sustainable practices by businesses in the Kansas City metropolitan area. Entries are made in 12 categories divided between practices related to Energy and those related to the Environment.

  • Infiltration/Exfiltration
  • Lighting
  • Process
  • Renewables

Environment

  • Neighborhood/Site
  • Water Conservation
  • Recycling/Reuse
  • Storm Water Runoff
  • Air Quality Indoor
  • Process

Each award has two levels: SILVER–awarded for conscientious improvement and GOLD–awarded for extraordinary improvement.

The 2013 KCIC Sustainability Awards Program will be conducted in the fall of 2013. Watch for more information in the coming months on how to submit your sustainability project or initiative.
